Jessie (Jasheta) Govindarajan – Junior Analyst
Jesse joined Terra Firma Capital Corporation in October 2015 as a Junior Analyst.
In her role, Jessie is responsible for overseeing asset management, maintaining project pipelines, creating investor reports, and preparing detailed analysis for project investment evaluations.
Prior to joining Terra Firma, Jessie worked for CIBC as a Mortgage Analyst. During her time there she was responsible for: conducting risk analysis of various fixed income products, assisting with preparation and distribution of industry research reports, as well as maintaining various research databases. Before joining CIBC Jessie also worked with Toronto Central Community Care Access Centre as a Business Intelligence Assistant.
Jessie graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2014 with a Bachelor of Economics and Finance. During her time in school she took part in a number of associations, clubs and sports teams including; Basketball, and Volleyball.
Jessie successfully completed her Canadian Securities Course through the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) and currently holds status as a CFA Level III Candidate.
Kristen Carmichael – Office Manager
Kristen joined Terra Firma Capital Corporation in November 2015.
As the Office Manager Kristen is involved in overseeing daily office operations, vendor and supplier management, marketing, social media monitoring and content creation, event planning, and coordinating with staff. In addition, Kristen acts an as executive assistant to the Vice Chairman and Management team.
Prior to joining Terra Firma, Kristen worked as a full-time mortgage sales manager, selling various real estate investments, and managing a team of inside sales associates. Prior to this Kristen held various sales, marketing and event coordinator roles.
Kristen graduated from Conestoga College in 2011 with her advanced Diploma in Business Administration Management. In addition, Kristen attended the Semester at Sea Program though the University of Virginia studying various business and economic development courses while travelling around South America to complete volunteer projects. Kristen has also completed various leadership training courses and received her Leadership Success Certificate through the Diamond Management Institute.
Kristen is a licensed Mortgage Agent through the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and is working towards completing her MBA.
Kathy Guan – Controller
Kathy joined Terra Firma Capital Corporation in January 2013 as Controller.
Working in hand with the CFO, Kathy is responsible for the company’s financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, and various special analyses. In addition, Kathy is responsible for production of financial reports, and maintaining accounting records, while ensuring that all reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
Kathy is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified General Accountant, and a Certified Internal Auditor.
